CLIVE, Iowa — A Cedar Falls woman has won a $500,000 Iowa Lottery prize.
Sarah Ramirez purchased her winning “Mega Bucks” scratch ticket at Hy-Vee, 6301 University Ave. in Cedar Falls. She claimed her prize Friday at the lottery’s main office in Clive.
Ramirez is the sixth Iowa Lottery player to claim a Mega Bucks top prize since the game debuted in September 2024. Previous winners include:
- David Smutz of Cedar Rapids in December
- Debora Dunn of Bettendorf in January
- Keith Madsen of Storm Lake in February
- Jeffery Wolf of Iowa City in February
- William Campbell of Council Bluffs in April
