CLIVE, Iowa — A central Iowa man has won a $50,000 lottery prize.
Jeffry McDonald of Winterset won the first top prize in the Iowa Lottery's "Holiday 10X®" scratch game. He purchased his winning ticket at Casey's, 1021 N. First St. in Winterset, and claimed his prize Tuesday at the lottery's main office in Clive.
Holiday 10X is a $5 scratch game that features seven top prizes of $50,000 and overall odds of 1 in 3.86.
From now until 9:59 a.m. on Jan. 7, players can enter nonwinning holiday-themed lottery tickets into a second-chance promotion for a chance to win a share of $1 million in cash prizes. For more information, visit www.ialottery.com.
