CLIVE, Iowa — A Charles City man has won a $100,000 lottery prize.

Jon McCleary won the second top prize in the Iowa Lottery's "Cash Frenzy" scratch game. He purchased his winning ticket at Liquor Beer & Tobacco Outlet, 1908 Clark St. in Charles City, and claimed his prize Friday at the lottery's Mason City regional office.

Cash Frenzy is a $10 scratch game that features eight top prizes of $100,00 and overall odds of 1 in 3.24. For more information about this game, and the number of prizes still available, visit www.ialottery.com.

Prizes and Proceeds

Since the lottery's start in 1985, its players have won more than $6.2 billion in prizes while the lottery has raised more than $2.5 billion for the state programs that benefit all Iowans.

Today, lottery proceeds help our state in multiple ways. They help Iowa veterans and their families through the Iowa Veterans Trust Fund. They help the families of Iowa peace officers, firefighters and corrections employees who die in the line of duty. And they provide help for a variety of significant projects through the state General Fund.
