CLIVE, Iowa — A Des Moines man has won a $20,000 lottery prize.
Alex Johnson won a top prize in the Iowa Lottery's $2 "MONOPOLY Doubler" scratch game. He bought his winning ticket at Hy-Vee, 3221 SE 14th St. in Des Moines, and claimed his prize Monday at the lottery's main office in Clive.
Based on the classic board game, MONOPOLY Doubler is a $2 scratch game that features prizes from $2 to $20,000 and overall odds of 1 in 3.64.
From now until 9:59 a.m. on May 19, 2026, players can enter nonwinning MONOPOLY tickets for a chance to win a share of $200,000 in cash prizes. For more information about this promotion, visit www.ialottery.com.
