Offers Continue For Powerball Players In Iowa
DES MOINES, Iowa – The latest round of money-saving offers in
the "Keep Your Ticket Handy" summer travel campaign includes buy
one, get one admission offers from some of Iowa's biggest
heritage tourism sites.
The Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museum in Decorah, the Danish
Windmill in Elk Horn and the Hausbarn-Heritage Park in Manning
are all making special offers in the statewide travel initiative
from the Iowa Lottery and Iowa Tourism Office. The idea behind
the project is to encourage people to travel the state, go to
Iowa attractions and businesses and give the entire state a
boost in these tough economic times.
To take advantage of the special offers, Iowa Powerball players
who have a nonwinning ticket from Wednesday's drawing (June 3)
can log onto the lottery Web site at www.ialottery.com, print
off a coupon there, attach the nonwinning ticket and then
present the coupon to the business to receive the special deal.
Other special offers for Powerball players include:
- $1 off the purchase price of five Hot Lotto plays with the
Sizzler option ($10 purchase).
- 50 cents off one order of nachos and cheese at Kwik Star
convenience stores in Iowa.
- $20 savings on a $40 fun card to PZAZZ! FunCity entertainment
complex in Burlington.
- $20 off the standard waterpark room rate at King's Pointe
Resort in Storm Lake.
- $20 off lodging at 14 participating Marriott Hotel locations
in Iowa.
- Two free adult admissions to the National Mississippi River
Museum & Aquarium in Dubuque.
- A free 20-ounce fountain drink at U-Stop convenience stores in
Council Bluffs, Crescent and Minden.
Powerball ticket holders must use one ticket per coupon, or
select which offer they wish to use. On Sunday, a new round of
