DES MOINES, Iowa – Iowa Lottery players can score big this football season and help Iowa's veterans when they play "The Freedom Rock™" instant-scratch game.

The lottery's "Rock The Stadium For Veterans" promotion started this month, offering players the chance to see the Army-Iowa State football game and win season tickets for the Cyclones’ 2010 football season! Players can enter the promotion using nonwinning tickets in The Freedom Rock game. The promotion runs through Sept. 9.

To enter the promotion, players should visit the Iowa Lottery's Web site at www.ialottery.com and key in the serial number from a nonwinning ticket in The Freedom Rock game. Entries will be accepted through noon on Sept. 9. Entries that are hand-delivered or mailed to the lottery will not be accepted. Players must keep all tickets they enter and may use each ticket only once as an eligible entry.

The preliminary drawing in the promotion will be on Sept. 10. Ten semifinalists selected that day each will win four tickets to the Army-Iowa St. football game Sept. 26 at Jack Trice Stadium in Ames. They'll also get to attend a pre-game picnic and have a parking pass for the game along with $100 spending cash!

The promotion's final drawing will be held during the pre-game picnic in Ames. Semifinalists will be eliminated one by one in a reverse drawing until just one person remains. That grand-prize winner will receive two season tickets for the 2010 Iowa State football season and $1,000 cash! All state and federal withholding taxes will be paid by the Iowa Lottery.

Semifinalists must present to the Iowa Lottery the nonwinning tickets they used to enter the promotion in order to be eligible for the final drawing. For complete contest rules, visit www.ialottery.com or any Iowa Lottery office.

Proceeds from the sale of tickets in The Freedom Rock game are dedicated to the Iowa Veterans Trust Fund, which directly benefits Iowa veterans and their families. To learn more about the Veterans Trust Fund, visit www.iowava.org.

The Freedom Rock tickets have a red, white and blue theme and feature artwork of this year's version a huge boulder in Adair County that is painted each year by Ray "Bubba" Sorensen II, a Greenfield artist. Players can win up to 10 times on each ticket and prizes range from $2 to $7,777.

Since the Iowa Lottery's start in 1985, its players have won more than $2.4 billion in prizes while the lottery has raised nearly $1.2 billion for state programs.
