DES MOINES, Iowa – The Iowa Lottery is officially ending eight
instant-scratch games and three pull-tab games and has
established the deadline by which players must claim prizes in
them.
The lottery has announced the end date for the following scratch
games: "In The Chips," "Deal or No Deal," "Classic Bingo,"
"Blazing 8's," "Wild 1," "Midwest Millions," "Bah Humbucks" and
"It's a Wonderful Life." Players have until the close of
business on Dec. 14 to claim prizes in In The Chips. They have
until the close of business on Jan. 4 to claim prizes in the
other seven scratch games that are ending.
The lottery also has announced the end dates for the following
pull-tab games: "Land of Liberty," "Roll Out the Barrel" and
"Casino Spin." Players have until the close of business on Dec.
9, 2010, to claim prizes in them.
Players may visit an Iowa Lottery retailer or one of the
lottery's regional offices in Council Bluffs, Storm Lake, Des
Moines, Mason City and Cedar Rapids to claim a prize.
Winning lotto numbers may be checked at the lottery Web site at
www.ialottery.com or through the winning numbers" hot line at
(515) 323-4633. Winning numbers may also be checked with lottery
retail outlets or by calling the lottery at (515) 725-7900 from
8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
Since the Iowa Lottery's inception in 1985, its players have won
more than $2.4 billion in prizes while the lottery has raised
nearly $1.2 billion for state programs. |
