WINNESHIEK COUNTY MAN WINS $10,000 LOTTERY PRIZE

David Svendsen Wins Top Prize Playing the "Win Big or Go Home!" Scratch Game

DES MOINES, Iowa – A Winneshiek County man has won a $10,000 prize playing the "Win Big or Go Home!" instant-scratch game.

David Svendsen, a Castalia resident, claimed his prize Tuesday at the Iowa Lottery's regional office in Cedar Rapids. He purchased his winning ticket at Kum & Go, 709 Grandview in Muscatine.

The Win Big or Go Home! scratch game is a $2 game. Players who match any of "Your Numbers" to either "Winning Number" on their ticket win the prize shown for that play area. If they find a "Glove" symbol, they win double the prize shown. The overall odds of winning in the game are 1 in 4.45.

The Win Big or Go Home! game began with 180 prizes. Two top prizes of $10,000 are still up for grabs in the game as well as 80 prizes of $200.

Since the Iowa Lottery's inception in 1985, its players have won more than $2.4 billion in prizes while the lottery has raised more than $1.2 billion for state programs.
