CLIVE, Iowa - A Council Bluffs man has won a $500,000 lottery prize on a ticket he purchased in Page County.
William Campbell won the fifth top prize in the Iowa Lottery's "Mega Bucks" scratch game. He purchased his winning ticket at Casey's, 318 E. Washington St. in Clarinda, and claimed his prize Wednesday at the lottery's main office in Clive.
"He couldn't believe it," she said. "We were just very emotional because we're almost ready to retire, and this will help tremendously. To pay some bills off and just be financially OK is a dream come true."
