CLIVE, Iowa — A Greene County man has won a $50,000 lottery prize.
James McAtee of Grand Junction won the fourth top prize in the Iowa Lottery's "Explore Iowa" scratch game. He purchased his winning ticket at Casey's, 504 16th St. N. in Grand Junction, and claimed his prize Friday at lottery headquarters in Clive.
Explore Iowa is a $5 scratch game. It features 10 top prizes of $50,000 and overall odds of 1 in 3.87.
Players can enter nonwinning Explore Iowa tickets into the lottery's Explore Iowa Play It Again® promotion from now through 9:59 a.m. Sept. 13. The promotion will award $275,000 in Polaris® gift certificates and $125,000 in cash prizes. For rules and complete details, visit www.ialottery.com.
