Scott County Woman Wins $50,000 Lottery Prize

Jacqueline Ridenour Claims Top Prize In 'Lady Luck' Scratch Game

CLIVE, Iowa – A Scott County woman has won a $50,000 lottery prize.

Jacqueline "Jackie" Ridenour of Le Claire claimed the sixth of eight top prizes of $50,000 available in the Iowa Lottery's "Lady Luck" scratch game. She claimed her prize Wednesday at the lottery's regional office in Cedar Rapids.

Ridenour bought her winning ticket at Cody Mart, 1220 N. Cody Road in Le Claire.

Lady Luck is a $5 scratch game. More details about how to play this game, and number of prizes still up for grabs in it can be found on the Iowa Lottery's website, www.ialottery.com.

Since the lottery's start in 1985, its players have won more than $5.7 billion in prizes while the lottery has raised more than $2.4 billion for the state programs that benefit all Iowans.

Today, lottery proceeds help our state in multiple ways. They help Iowa veterans and their families through the Iowa Veterans Trust Fund. They help the families of Iowa peace officers, firefighters and corrections employees who die in the line of duty. And they provide help for a variety of significant projects through the state General Fund.
