Nashua Man Wins $16,250 Lottery Prize

Paul Stover Claims Large Prize in Pick 4 Game

CLIVE, Iowa - A Nashua man has won a $16,250 lottery prize.

Paul Stover won his big prize in the Feb. 25 Pick 4 evening drawing. He made a $5 straight/box wager, meaning he would have won by matching all four numbers in any order, but his prize was larger because he matched them in the exact order drawn: 8-2-2-0.

Stover purchased his winning ticket at Kwik Star, 201 Greenwood Ave. in Nashua. He claimed his prize Friday at the lottery's regional office in Mason City.

Pick 4, which has been offered in Iowa since September 2003, features a top prize of $30,000, with odds of just 1:10,000 of winning it. It offers a variety of play options and wagers from 50 cents to $5 for the chance to match a four-digit number combination from 0000 to 9999. For more information about Pick 4, visit ialottery.com.

Today, lottery proceeds help our state in multiple ways. They help Iowa veterans and their families through the Iowa Veterans Trust Fund. They help the families of Iowa peace officers, firefighters and corrections employees who die in the line of duty. And they provide help for a variety of significant projects through the state General Fund.
