Wapello County Man Wins $50,000 Lottery Prize

CLIVE, Iowa — A Wapello County man has won a $50,000 lottery prize.

Jacob Nordyke of Agency won the third of eight top prizes available in the Iowa Lottery's "Silverado" scratch game. He purchased his winning ticket at BP, 1340 Albia Road in Ottumwa, and claimed his prize on Friday at lottery headquarters in Clive.

Silverado is a $5 scratch game that features eight top prizes of $50,000 and overall odds of 1 in 3.74.

Nonwinning Silverado scratch tickets can be entered into the lottery's Summer of Silverado Play It Again® promotion for a chance to win one of four 2019 Silverado LT Trail Boss prize packages or $100,000 in cash prizes. The entry period runs through Sept. 11 at 8:59 a.m.
