CLIVE, Iowa - A Nashua man has won an $18,750 lottery prize.
Paul Stover won his big prize in Monday's midday Pick 4 drawing. He made a $5 straight/box wager, meaning he would have won by matching all four numbers in any order, but his prize was larger because he matched them in the exact order drawn: 5-8-5-5.
Stover purchased his winning ticket at Casey's, 100 Amherst Blvd. in Nashua. He claimed his prize Tuesday at the lottery's regional office in Mason City.
Pick 4, which has been offered in Iowa since September 2003, features a top prize of $30,000, with odds of just 1 in 10,000 of winning it. It offers a variety of play options and wagers from 50 cents to $5 for the chance to match a four-digit number combination from 0000 to 9999. For more information about Pick 4, visit ialottery.com.
