CLIVE, Iowa — A Worth County woman won a $10,000 lottery prize.

Cheryl Baird of Manly won the big prize in the Iowa Lottery's "$100,000 Mega Crossword" scratch game. She purchased her winning ticket at Casey's, 505 U.S. Highway 65 S. in Manly, and claimed her prize Friday at the lottery's Mason City regional office.

The $100,000 Mega Crossword is a $10 scratch game that features overall odds of 1 in 3.29 and 25 top prizes of $100,000. For more information about this game, and the number of prizes still available, visit www.ialottery.com.

Today, lottery proceeds help our state in multiple ways. They help Iowa veterans and their families through the Iowa Veterans Trust Fund. They help the families of Iowa peace officers, firefighters and corrections employees who die in the line of duty. And they provide help for a variety of significant projects through the state General Fund.
