Eligible Tickets and Entry
Which tickets are eligible to be entered in the promotion?
Nonwinning Hawkeye™ Gold scratch tickets are eligible for entry in this promotion. No other Iowa Lottery tickets are eligible for entry in this promotion.
Can I enter my Hawkeye Gold ticket more than once?
No, each nonwinning ticket will receive only one entry in the category drawing.
Is there a cash prize option in the Countdown to Carver Promotional Prize Package?
No, there is no cash in the lieu of the prize.
Can I win multiple prizes for the same event date?
No, players cannot win multiple prizes for the same event date. However, players can enter tickets in each of the prize category drawings, but can win only one prize per event date.
For example, if a player wins the Iowa Lottery terrace tickets, they can't win the arena seat tickets for that same date.
Will I get to choose the sporting event that I want to win tickets for?
Yes, when you enter your Hawkeye scratch ticket, you'll be asked to select the game package of your choice. There are separate categories for women's basketball, men's
basketball and men's wrestling. Navigate first to the sport of your choice and then select the event date of your choice.
When does the promotion end?
The Countdown to Carver promotion entry ends at 9:59 a.m. on Feb. 5, 2024.
How are winners notified if they have won?
Winners will be notified by the email that they used for their VIP Club registration.
What sports are included in the Countdown to Carver?
The promotion offers ticket prize packages at all Iowa women's and men's home basketball games and Iowa men's home wrestling meets which take place at Carver-Hawkeye Arena™
in Iowa City. In addition, winners are able to register to win a VIP suite experience for the Iowa Hawkeye Doubleheader at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines on Dec. 16, 2023.
Winners of this experience will receive a pair of tickets, which provides entry to the doubleheader game featuring both the Iowa Women's vs. Cleveland State and
Iowa Men's vs. Florida A&M.
Can I win more than one ticket prize package?
Yes, players can enter in each of the game drawings; men's and women's basketball and men's wrestling. A player could win one prize package for each sports event that they enter,
but they cannot win more than one prize package for the same event date.
Does my guest need to be 21 years of age or older?
No, there is no age restriction for guests.
Are ticket prize packages transferrable?
Hawkeye ticket package prizes will be awarded to the winners as drawn and posted on the Iowa Lottery website. Valid ID is required to claim a prize package.
How will I receive my tickets?
Winners will receive digital tickets through their email address.

Each home game VIP Iowa Lottery Terrace package is valued at more than $200!
Each winner will receive:
- 4 Terrace tickets (padded chairs, a private table and wait staff service with complimentary food, water and soda and Carver™ Cones!)
- 1 parking pass
- Co-branded Iowa Lottery & Iowa Hawkeye Merchandise
What's included in the Carver-Hawkeye Arena Prize Package?
Each home game package is valued at more than $150!
Each winner will receive:
- 4 Arena seat tickets
- 1 parking pass
- $100 Spending Money (paid via check)
- Co-branded Iowa Lottery & Iowa Hawkeye Merchandise
What's included in the Iowa Hawkeye Doubleheader Prize Package?
The Double Header game package is valued at more than $700!
Each winner will receive:
- A pair of Iowa Doubleheader VIP Suite Tickets (complimentary food, water and soda)
- 1 parking pass
- Co-branded Iowa Lottery & Iowa Hawkeye Merchandise
- Required state withholding tax paid on behalf of the winner
