CLIVE, Iowa — A southeast Iowa man has won a $10,000 lottery prize.

Patrick Nelson of Fort Madison won the 14th prize of $10,000 in the Iowa Lottery's "Ruby Red Crossword" scratch game. He purchased his winning ticket at MOD Convenience Store, 1531 Ave. H in Fort Madison, and claimed his prize Tuesday at the lottery's Cedar Rapids regional office.

Ruby Red Crossword is a $30 scratch game that features 16 top prizes of $300,000, 47 prizes of $10,000 and overall odds of 1 in 2.29. For more information about this game, and the number of prizes still available, visit www.ialottery.com.

And they provide help for a variety of significant projects through the state General Fund.
