The Prize Will Expire Aug. 28 if Not Claimed in Time

CLIVE, Iowa - The countdown is on for a $50,000 Powerball® prize that remains unclaimed five months after it was won, and the Iowa Lottery reminds its players to double-check their tickets.

The $50,000 winning ticket was purchased at KC Brothers, 214 Myrtle St. in Davenport. The prize will expire at 4 p.m. on Aug. 28 if it is not claimed by the deadline.

The prize can be claimed at any Iowa Lottery office. Prize-claim hours at lottery offices are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, with offices closed on state holidays.
