Which tickets are eligible to be entered in the promotion?
There are 7 holiday scratch games eligible for this promotion. Nonwinning holiday tickets that can be entered are:
Starry Night, Ho Ho Ho Fa La La,
Holiday 50X The Money, Holiday $500s,
Cash Flurries, 'Tis The Season and
Oh Ca$hmas Tree.
Can I enter my ticket more than once?
No, each nonwinning holiday scratch ticket will receive only one entry in the current category drawing.
Can I win more than one prize in the promotion?
You could win a $1,000, $2,500, and $5,000 cash prize in each category drawing on each draw date you enter. You may also be eligible to win a grand prize!
How do I enter for the grand prize of $50,000; 100,000 and $500,000?
Entries that were not selected as a winner in a previous Million Dollar Holiday category drawing for a $1,000, $2,500 or $5,000 cash prize are eligible for the grand prize drawing
with grand prizes of $50,000; $100,000; and $500,000!
How do I become eligible to enter tickets in this promotion?
To enter, individuals must be a current member or join the Iowa Lottery VIP Club. Members will log into their VIP Club account, either at ialottery.com or through LotteryPlus mobile app.
If you have the app, you can simply scan a ticket to enter. If you're not a member yet, join for FREE.
Will I get to choose a category for my entry before submitting the ticket?
No, when you enter a nonwinning holiday scratch ticket, you'll receive an entry in the corresponding category for that ticket's price. Holiday $2 and $3 scratch tickets are
the $1,000 cash prize category, the $5 holiday scratch tickets are the $2,500 cash prize category and the $10 and $20 holiday tickets are the $5,000 cash prize category.
How long do I have to get my tickets entered?
You can enter the Million Dollar Holiday from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2023 through 9:59 a.m. Monday, January 8, 2024.
How are winners notified if they have won?
Winners will be notified by the email that they use on their VIP Club account.
I can't find the number I need to enter from the front of my ticket. Can you help?
Be sure to scratch off all of the scratch material in the play area on the front of the ticket to uncover the 10-digit number you need. Most times the number is located at the
bottom of the play area, but sometimes it may run sideways. If you're having trouble finding the code on a particular ticket, contact us and we'll be glad to help.
I'm getting an error that my ticket number is not valid. What should I do?
There are a few things we ask people to do when this occurs:
- Be sure the ticket is not a winner. If the ticket is a winner, it will come up as invalid.
- Double-check the numbers you are entering to be sure they are correct and that you have all the boxes filled in.
- If you are not sure which numbers to enter, check the "scratch ticket example" link on the "Enter Million Dollar Holiday" page within the VIP Club.
How often can I enter this promotion?
You can make 40 attempts to enter tickets in a promotion(s) per day. After midnight your account will reset, and you can enter more tickets at that time.
