CLIVE, Iowa — A Dubuque man has claimed two prizes he won in a Lotto America® drawing last week, with one a lot bigger than the other.
Tim Specht claimed a total of $20,002 in prizes from the Sept. 12 Lotto America drawing. He bought three plays in the game on one ticket, and on one of those plays he won a $2 prize. On another, he won $20,000.
Specht bought his winning ticket at Big 10 Mart, 405 Rhomberg Ave. in Dubuque.
The winning numbers in the Sept. 12 Lotto America drawing were 1-6-9-11-20 and Star Ball® 2. Specht's $20,000-winning play matched the first five numbers but missed the Star Ball to win at the game's second prize level.
Specht claimed his prize Monday at the lottery's Cedar Rapids regional office.
Lotto America is a multi-state lottery game played in 13 states. The game's name is a throwback to the first multi-state lotto game known for big jackpots in the United States. For more information, visit www.ialottery.com.
