CLIVE, Iowa — A Des Moines man has won a large lottery prize for the second time this year.
Danny Sturtz won the sixth top prize in the Iowa Lottery's "Peng-win Crossword" scratch game. He purchased his winning ticket at Tobacco Outlet Plus, 3301 E. Euclid Ave. in Des Moines, and claimed his prize Monday at lottery headquarters in Clive.
Sturtz won a $100,000 scratch prize in January.
"It just amazed me," he said of winning a second time.
Sturtz said he plans to put the winnings toward having "a very good Christmas."
