Northern Iowa Man Wins $100,000 Lottery Prize

Brian McCullough Claims Top Prize In 'X the Money' Scratch Game

CLIVE, Iowa - A Humboldt County man is the first player to win a top prize in the Iowa Lottery's newest scratch game.

Brian McCullough of Livermore won $100,000 playing the "X the Money" scratch game. He purchased his winning ticket at Fastway, 501 3rd Ave.in Livermore. McCullough claimed his prize Friday at the Iowa Lottery's regional office in Storm Lake.

X the Money is a $10 scratch game that features eight top prizes of $100,000 and overall odds of 1 in 2.86. For more information about this game, and the number of prizes still available, visit ialottery.com.

Since the lottery's start in 1985, its players have won more than $5.8 billion in prizes while the lottery has raised more than $2.4 billion for the state programs that benefit all Iowans.

Today, lottery proceeds help our state in multiple ways. They help Iowa veterans and their families through the Iowa Veterans Trust Fund. They help the families of Iowa peace officers, firefighters and corrections employees who die in the line of duty. And they provide help for a variety of significant projects through the state General Fund.
