CLIVE, Iowa — An eastern man has won a $250,000 prize in a new Iowa Lottery game.
Michael Blaser of Bellevue won the first top prize in the "Winter Winnings"scratch game. He purchased his winning ticket at Kwik Star, 962 62nd St. in Marion, and claimed his prize Monday at the lottery's Cedar Rapids regional office.
Winter Winnings is a $20 scratch game that features three top prizes of $250,000, six prizes of $5,000 and overall odds of 1 in 2.64. From now until 9:59 a.m. on Jan. 8, 2024, players can enter nonwinning holiday-themed scratch tickets for a chance to win $1.1 million in cash prizes.
