CLIVE, Iowa - An Allamakee County woman has won a $100,000 lottery prize.

Bonnie Zeimet of New Albin won the 30th top prize in the Iowa Lottery's "$100,000 Mega Crossword" scratch game. She purchased her winning ticket at City Meat Market, 199 Railroad Ave. NW in New Albin. Zeimet claimed her prize Thursday at the lottery's regional office in Cedar Rapids.

The $100,000 Mega Crossword game is a $10 scratch game that features 46 top prizes of $100,000, 92 prizes of $10,000 and overall odds of 1 in 3.29. For more information about this game, and the number of prizes still available, visit ialottery.com.

Today, lottery proceeds help our state in multiple ways. They help Iowa veterans and their families through the Iowa Veterans Trust Fund. They help the families of Iowa peace officers, firefighters and corrections employees who die in the line of duty. And they provide help for a variety of significant projects through the state General Fund.
