Davenport Man Wins First Top Prize in Lottery's Newest Scratch Game

CLIVE, Iowa — A Davenport man has won the first $100,000 top prize in the Iowa Lottery's newest scratch game.

Timothy Milburn purchased his winning "20X" scratch game at Hy-Vee, 4064 E. 53rd St. in Davenport. He claimed his prize Friday at the lottery's regional office in Cedar Rapids.

Milburn's big win comes less than two weeks after 20X debuted.

20X is a $10 scratch game that features seven top prizes of $100,000 and overall odds of 1 in 3.15. For more information about this game, and the number of prizes still available, visit www.ialottery.com.

Since the lottery's start in 1985, its players have won more than $5.9 billion in prizes while the lottery has raised more than $2.5 billion for the state programs that benefit all Iowans.

Today, lottery proceeds help our state in multiple ways. They help Iowa veterans and their families through the Iowa Veterans Trust Fund. They help the families of Iowa peace officers, firefighters and corrections employees who die in the line of duty. And they provide help for a variety of significant projects through the state General Fund.
