Which tickets are eligible to be entered in the promotion?
Both winning and nowinning Iowa Lottery Powerball with Double Play tickets purchased on or after Sunday, February 18, 2024 are eligible for entry in this promotion.
The Double Play must have been purchased on the ticket. No other Iowa Lottery tickets are eligible for entry in this promotion. Players will select the race date and package of their choice
when they enter the promotion.
If I've bought a Powerball with Double Play ticket in Iowa, does that mean I'm automatically entered in the promotion?
No. You need to log in to your VIP Club account and enter the Powerball with Double Play ticket into the promotion to have a chance to win.
Can I enter winning Powerball with Double Play tickets in the promotion?
Yes, winning and nonwinning Powerball with Double Play tickets are eligible to be entered.
If my ticket has multiple plays on it, will that count as more than one entry into the promotion?
No. Each ticket entered counts as one entry in the Iowa Lottery promotion drawing of the player's choice, regardless of the number of plays on it, or the number of
Powerball Double Play drawings for which the ticket is eligible.
Do I need to keep my Powerball with Double Play ticket after I enter it?
No, you do not have to keep your ticket to be eligible to win in the promotion. However, be sure to check all of your Powerball tickets to see if they've won a prize in the
Monday, Wednesday or Saturday Powerball and Powerball Double Play drawings for which you bought them, as you will need your ticket to claim any Powerball drawing prize you may have one.
How do I become eligible to enter tickets in this promotion?
To enter, individuals must be a current member or join the Iowa Lottery VIP Club. Members will log into their VIP Club account, either at ialottery.com or through LotteryPlus mobile app.
If you have the app, you can simply scan a Powerball with Double Play ticket to enter. If you’re not a member yet, join for FREE here.
How are winners notified if they have won?
Winners will be notified by the email that they used for their VIP Club account.
I’m getting an error that my ticket number is not valid. What should I do?
There are a few things we ask people to do when this occurs:
- Be sure the Powerball with Double Play ticket was purchased on or after February 18, 2024.
- Be sure the ticket has YES for the Double Play option.
- Double-check the numbers you are entering to be sure they are correct and that you have all the boxes filled in.
- If you are not sure which numbers to enter, check the "lotto ticket example" link on the "Enter Drawings" page within the VIP Club.
How often can I enter this promotion?
You can make 40 attempts to enter tickets in a promotion(s) per day. After midnight your account will reset, and you can enter more tickets at that time.
Entry Period 1: Experience NASCAR® in Iowa
How long do I have to get my tickets entered to win a prize package for races at Iowa Speedway?
You can enter the Experience NASCAR in Iowa promotion from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2024 through 9:59 a.m. May 6, 2024 for the May 7, 2024 drawings to win a prize package
for races at Iowa Speedway. The next entry begins at 10 a.m. May 6, for the 2024 NASCAR Championship Weekend™ and entry ends at 9:59 a.m. June 19, 2024.
What is included in the NASCAR race prize packages at Iowa Speedway in Newton?
The winners of these prize packages will all be selected in the promotion drawings on May 7, 2024 (from entries accepted through 9:59 a.m. May 6, 2024).
- 3-day Race Weekend Ticket winners will receive: two tickets for each race day, $300 spending money (paid via check) and a merchandise swag bag.
- Grandstand Ticket winners will receive: four tickets for the race day, $100 spending money (paid via check) and a merchandise swag bag.
- Suite Experience winners will receive: two suite tickets in an Iowa Speedway suite, preferred parking for the day, complimentary food, soda and water in the suite,
a guided garage tour and pace car ride, and a merchandise bag with two co-branded clothing items.
How do I receive the Iowa Speedway race tickets if I win a race experience prize package?
The NASCAR race tickets and merchandise will be provided to the verified winner prior to the race by way of mailed tickets, or an electronic transfer of digital tickets.
Are the tickets for the NASCAR prize packages transferrable?
Experience NASCAR in Iowa ticket prize packages to Iowa Speedway will be awarded to the winners and a valid ID is required to claim the prize package. The winner is permitted to
gift the race tickets at Iowa Speedway after they have received the prize, if they desire.
Entry Period 2: Experience NASCAR® in Phoenix
May 6 thru June 19, 2024
When is the NASCAR Championship Weekend in Phoenix?
The event weekend takes place November 8 - 11, 2024.
What is included in the NASCAR Championship Weekend in Phoenix prize package?
One person will win two grandstand admission tickets for the entire weekend at Phoenix Raceway for the NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship™ race on November 9 and the NASCAR Cup Series Championship™
race on November 10. A three-night double-occupancy hotel stay in downtown Phoenix, round-trip coach airfare for 2 to Phoenix Sky Harbor airport, round-trip motorcoach transfer between hotel
and track, two-day Hospitality Lounge access at the track, two-day Infield Experience pass at the track, event program, scanner rental, and swag bag with branded merchandise, $750 in spending money
and $2,890.14 required federal taxes and $602.11 required state taxes paid on behalf of the winner. The total prize value is $12,042.25.
I didn’t win anything in the first round of the promotion. Can I re-enter my tickets?
You cannot re-enter your tickets, but any entry that was not selected in the May 7 drawing will be automatically entered for your chance to win $1,000 cash and a national semi-finalist entry
for the NASCAR Powerball Playoff drawing. You can continue to enter additional Powerball Double Play tickets into this drawing until 9:59 a.m. on June 19.
When are the finalists for the NASCAR Powerball Playoff announced?
The 20 winners drawn by the Iowa Lottery on June 20 will be qualifiers in the Multi-State Lottery's NASCAR® Powerball Playoff elimination drawing on September 1, 2024 from
among all participating lotteries' qualifiers. In that drawing, 16 semifinalists will be chosen to advance to the next set of elimination drawings. See the chart below for complete
