Promotion FAQs
Which tickets are eligible to be entered in the promotion?
Both winning and nonwinning Iowa Lottery Powerball® Double Play® tickets purchased on or after March 20, 2025 are eligible for entry in this promotion. No other Iowa Lottery tickets
are eligible for entry in this promotion. Players will select the prize package of their choice when they enter the promotion.
If I've bought a Powerball Double Play ticket in Iowa, does that mean I'm automatically entered in the promotion?
No. You need to log in to your VIP Club account and enter the Powerball Double Play ticket into the promotion to have a chance to win
Can I enter winning Powerball Double Play tickets in the promotion?
Yes, winning or nonwinning Powerball Double Play tickets purchased on or after March 20, 2025 are eligible to be entered.
If my ticket has multiple plays on it, will that count as more than one entry into the promotion?
No. Each physical ticket entered counts as one entry in the Iowa Lottery promotion drawing of the player’s choice, regardless of the number of plays on it, or the number of
Powerball with Double Play drawings for which the ticket is eligible.
Do I need to keep my Powerball Double Play ticket after I enter it?
No, you do not have to keep your ticket to be eligible to win in the promotion. However, be sure to check all of your Powerball tickets to see if they've won a prize in the
Monday, Wednesday or Saturday Powerball and Powerball Double Play drawings for which you bought them, as you will need your ticket to claim any Powerball drawing prize you may have one.
How are winners notified if they have won?
Winners will be notified by the email address that they used for their VIP Club account.
How do I claim my prize if I’ve won?
Winners will need to fill out claim documents either in-person at an Iowa Lottery office or documents sent digitally.
I’m getting an error that my ticket number is not valid. What should I do?
There are a few things we ask people to do when this occurs:
- Be sure the Powerball Double Play ticket was purchased on or after March 20, 2025 as noted in the upper right corner of the ticket information. The date is listed as YYYYMMDD.
- Be sure the ticket has YES for the Double Play option.
- Double-check the numbers you are entering to be sure they are correct and that you have all the boxes filled in.
- If you are not sure which numbers to enter, click here to view a "lotto ticket example" which shows where the numbers are located.
How often can I enter this promotion?
You can make 40 attempts to enter tickets in a promotion(s) per day. After midnight your account will reset, and you can enter more tickets at that time.
What is included in the prize packages?
Grandstand Weekend for Four + $1,000 (60 Winners, valued at $1,824.32):
- Four (4) tickets for all race days at Iowa Speedway, August 1-3, 2025
- $1,000 spending money (paid via check)

Are the tickets for the prize packages transferrable?
NASCAR® Race Weekend prize packages to Iowa Speedway will be awarded to the winners and a valid ID is required to claim the prize package. The winner is permitted to gift or
transfer the race tickets after they have claimed and received the prize, if they desire.
When are the finalists for the NASCAR Powerball Playoff™ announced?
The Multi-State Lottery Association will hold the drawings for the NASCAR Powerball Playoff, which will be a series of five elimination drawings. On August 23, 2025,
16 national semi-finalists will be announced from the national pool of entries.
