CLIVE, Iowa - As part of its standard procedures, the Iowa Lottery is officially ending sales in 21 of its instant-scratch games and has established the deadline by which players must claim prizes in them.

The lottery has announced the end date for the following scratch games:

  • 9s in a Line

  • Casino Riches
  • Diamond 9s

  • Holiday Cash

Players may visit an Iowa Lottery retailer or one of the lottery's offices in Clive, Cedar Rapids, Mason City and Storm Lake to claim scratch-game prizes.

Since the lottery's start in 1985, its players have won more than $5.7 billion in prizes while the lottery has raised more than $2.4 billion for the state programs that benefit all Iowans.

Today, lottery proceeds help our state in multiple ways. They help Iowa veterans and their families through the Iowa Veterans Trust Fund. They help the families of Iowa peace officers, firefighters and corrections employees who die in the line of duty. And they provide help for a variety of significant projects through the state General Fund.
