Media Advisory: Live Lottery Game Show Set For Thursday At Iowa State Fair

WHO: Twenty Iowa Lottery players will compete for prizes of up to $5 million on a live game show on opening day of the 2024 Iowa State Fair.

WHAT: The Iowa Lottery is holding a live game show at the Iowa State Fair where 20 players from across the state will compete for a total of $1 million in guaranteed prizes. Each contestant will win at least $10,000 and the game show finalist will have a chance to win a prize of up to $5 million. It has been more than a decade since the lottery has held a live event like this to give away substantial prizes.

WHERE: On the Grand Concourse in front of the Administration Building on the Iowa State Fairgrounds, 3000 E. Grand Ave., Des Moines, IA 50317.

WHY: The Iowa Lottery's game show will be held live on Thursday at the Iowa State Fair as the conclusion of a summer-long initiative that included the first Iowa State Fair-branded scratch game and a lottery promotion that players could enter for a chance to be on the game show.
