Osceola County Man Wins Large Lottery Prize

David Janssen Claims Big Prize in InstaPlay Lottery Game

David Janssen

CLIVE, Iowa — An Osceola County man has won a lottery prize of more than $11,000.

David Janssen of Sibley won a Cherry Twist Progressive InstaPlay jackpot prize. He purchased his winning ticket at Schottsy's Liquor, 109 Fifth St. in Sibley, and claimed his prize of $11,763.95 on Friday at the lottery's Storm Lake regional office.

The Cherry Twist Progressive jackpot starts at $2,000 and increases with each ticket sold statewide until it is won.

The InstaPlay product combines features from instant-scratch and lotto games. InstaPlay tickets are called "scratchless" because they have no security coating that needs to be removed to determine the prize won. And rather than having supplies of tickets printed in advance like those in traditional scratch and pull-tab games, InstaPlay tickets are printed on demand from the lottery terminal.

InstaPlay games range in price from $1 to $10. For more information, visit www.ialottery.com.
