CLIVE, Iowa — A Marshalltown man has won a $30,000 lottery prize.

Ronald Gohring won the fifth top prize in the Iowa Lottery's "Candy Cane Crossword" scratch game. He purchased his winning ticket at Kwik Star, 814 S. Sixth St. in Marshalltown, and claimed his prize Friday at the lottery's Cedar Rapids regional office.

Candy Cane Crossword is a $3 scratch game that features 17 top prizes of $30,000 and overall odds of 1 in 3.52. For more information about this game, and the number of prizes still available, visit www.ialottery.com.
