CLIVE, Iowa — A Sioux City man has won a $10,000 Mega Millions prize.
William Brower matched four of five white balls and the Mega Ball in Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing. He was one number away from winning that night's $31 million jackpot.
Brower purchased his winning ticket at Casey's, 4727 Southern Hills Drive in Sioux City. He claimed his prize Wednesday at the lottery's Storm Lake regional office.
The winning numbers in Tuesday's drawing were 9-15-46-55-57 and Mega Ball 4. The Megaplier®, an optional $1 add-on which multiples non-jackpot prize amounts by up to five times, was 2.
The Mega Millions jackpot now stands at an estimated $50 million for Friday's drawing.
Players in $2 Mega Millions choose their first five numbers from a pool of 70, and another number - called the Mega Ball - from a separate pool of 25.
