CLIVE, Iowa — A Cedar Rapids man has won a $100,000 lottery prize.

Stephen Penney won the second top prize in the Iowa Lottery's "Holiday 50X The Money" scratch game. He purchased his winning ticket at Hy-Vee, 4035 Mount Vernon Road SE in Cedar Rapids, and claimed his prize Wednesday at the lottery's Cedar Rapids regional office.

Holiday 50X The Money is a $10 scratch game. It features six top prizes of $100,000 and overall odds of 1 in 2.86.

From now until 9:59 a.m. on Jan. 8, 2024, players can enter nonwinning holiday scratch tickets into the "Million Dollar Holiday" promotion, which will award a total of $1 million in prizes, including a $500,000 top prize. For more information about this promotion, visit www.ialottery.com.
