CLIVE, Iowa — A Burlington man has won a $20,000 Mega Millions prize.
Harry Parkin matched four of five white balls and the Mega Ball in Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing. His initial $10,000 prize was doubled because he opted for the $1 Megaplier® option at the time of purchase, which multiplies non-jackpot prize amounts by up to five times.
Parkin purchased his winning ticket at Amoco Jet Stop, 2760 Mount Pleasant St. in Burlington, and claimed his prize Monday at the lottery's Cedar Rapids regional office.
The winning numbers in the March 26 drawing were 7-11-22-29-38 and Mega Ball 4. The Megaplier was 2.
Players in $2 Mega Millions choose their first five numbers from a pool of 70, and another number - called the Mega Ball - from a separate pool of 25.
