CLIVE, Iowa - A Des Moines man is the first person to claim a $150,000 top prize in the Iowa Lottery's new "Money Gift" scratch game.
Alberto Romero Romero purchased his winning ticket at Cash Saver, 1320 E. Euclid Ave. in Des Moines. He claimed his prize Tuesday at lottery headquarters in Clive.
There are now three remaining top prizes of $150,000 in Money Gift, which is a $10 scratch game with overall odds of winning of 1 in 2.83.
Money Gift is one of nine scratch and InstaPlay games that are part of the Iowa Lottery's "Cash Prizes are Coming to Town" Play It Again® holiday promotion. Members of the lottery's VIP Club can enter nonwinning holiday tickets for a chance at winning a share of more than $1 million in cash prizes.
