CLIVE, Iowa — The Iowa Lottery's "JACKPOT PARTY® Progressive" InstaPlay game went out with a bang, with a Grinnell man winning a prize of more than $84,000.
Sam Stoaks claimed his $84,448 jackpot prize Wednesday at lottery headquarters in Clive. He purchased his winning ticket at Kum & Go, 1002 West St. in Grinnell.
With Stoak's big win, JACKPOT PARTY® Progressive has ended sales and is no longer available for purchase. The change is part of the Iowa Lottery's revamp of its InstaPlay games, which started in the fall of 2024.
The InstaPlay product combines features from instant-scratch and lotto games. InstaPlay tickets are called "scratchless" because they have no security coating that needs to be removed to determine the prize won. And rather than having supplies of tickets printed in advance like those in traditional scratch and pull-tab games, InstaPlay tickets are printed on demand from the lottery terminal.
InstaPlay games range in price from $1 to $30. For more information, visit www.ialottery.com.
